We know that there are ways for individuals to be involved with Allies through volunteering, donating, attending events and raising awareness in their community. Have you ever wondered how your businesses or church might also be involved in the fight against human trafficking, too?
We’ve had many generous organizations involved with Allies over the years. Many who have donated both monetarily and in-kind, and others who have invited us to come share about human trafficking or have volunteered or attended our events. We love the community connections we’ve made over the past 11 years, and as we continue to grow, we wanted to form a more structured and organized way to partner together. Thus, the Allies Community Initiative was born.
The Allies Community Initiative (ACI) is a collective of businesses and organizations dedicated to anti sex trafficking efforts in Indiana. ACI members are dedicated to being educated, connected and empowered to be advocates in their community.
The objectives of ACI are:
- To educate, equip and empower businesses to be advocates against sex trafficking in Indiana.
- To give businesses the opportunity to be educated on human trafficking and provide resources for hosting fundraising and awareness events.
- To bring businesses together to build a network of anti-trafficking businesses that support one another.
Based on each organization’s engagement level, there is opportunity for human trafficking training for staff and printed/digital educational materials, invitations to ACI networking events, monthly update emails and promotion through Allies social media, website, podcast, newsletter and events.
